About Us

Our Leadership

Davis Depositions  was formed by leading certified court reporter, Elegra R. Davis, with a simple mission:  “To strengthen communities by empowering advocates for law and justice to battle more effectively.”  Elegra believes professional, high-quality litigation support is essential in order for litigators to have the control needed to move forward and obtain the best outcomes for the clients they serve.  For more than a decade, Elegra has dedicated herself to serving attorneys with this philosophy, both in the judicial and freelance sectors.  This unique skill set has paved the way to reporting of many high-profile civil, criminal, and Federal cases around the state of Ohio and neighboring states.

elegra_headshotElegra discovered her great passion for court reporting through her rapid progression in studies at The Academy of Court Reporting.  From there, Elegra transitioned into private-sector court reporting and soon became Columbus’ first five digital court reporters skilled in technology reporting.  Armed with an overflow of reporting experience from patent litigation to matters before various high courts, Elegra transitioned her skills to the judicial sector as an Official Court Stenographer with the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

After a significant amount of trial reporting, coupled with a growing awareness of national advancements in court reporting, Davis Depositions was soon launched as the emerging leader of  modern court reporting and litigation services.

And the momentum continues.  Recently, Elegra was selected as 1 of 12 Women WELDing the Way (“Women You Should Know in Central Ohio”)– 2017 honoree.  Each year, Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD) recognizes a diverse group of women in the central Ohio community who are high impact leaders within their organizations, support the leadership development of other women, give time, talent and resources to their community, and invest in the growth of women-owned businesses.

The honorees will be profiled in a 2017 calendar – one honoree each month.

Distinguished by leadership and integrity, the firm’s clientele continues to grow as a trusted resource for litigation support.
